Iran-Kazakhstan trade to increase three-fold

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Iran Amreyev Bagdad said Monday that once Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway comes into operation, bilateral trade between Iran and Kazakhstan will increase from one to three billion dollars.

Bagdad made the remarks in a meeting with Hassan Sadeqlou, the governor-general of Golestan province.
'I believe that inauguration of the railway will benefit Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, and the Central Asian countries, the Persian Gulf states, Pakistan and India as well,' Bagdad said.
The governor-general of Golestan province, for his part, said that inauguration of the railway will lead to further economic development for both Iran and Kazakhstan.
Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway, known as East Caspian Sea Corridor will be inaugurated on December 3 in a ceremony in presence of presidents of the three Caspian Sea littoral states.
