East Azarbaijan Province exported goods valued at $1.76 billion to 96 countries from March 21 to November 21, indicating a growth of 27 percent compared to the figure for the same period last year, said an official of East Azarbaijan Customs Department.
The Church of Saint Stephanos, located in East Azarbaijan province, was built in the 9th century. It is among a handful of magnificent churches in Iran. The church's architectural style is a mixture of Urartan, Parthian, Greek, and Roman styles. It is considered as one of the architectural masterpieces of northwestern Iran.
Over $1 billion in foreign finance have been allocated for completing unfinished and development projects of East Azarbaijan province's public and private sectors, the head of the province’s Industries and Mines Department said.
