The President of the Iranian Specialized Manufacturers of Auto Parts Association (ISMAPA), announced, on Sunday, the association's readiness to produce spare parts for Groupe Renault’s Sandero and L90 models following the suspension of activities by the French firm in Iran.
French carmaker Renault posted record vehicle sales for the first half as a sustained product offensive lifted global deliveries by 10.4 percent — with a well-timed China SUV launch and a renewed push into Iran both contributing.
Renault is taking on a high profile in Iran. It is already in cooperation deals with the country's largest vehicle manufacturers: Iran Khodro and Saipa. The French auto giant is to set up a joint venture with the state-owned Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO). Renault will hold the majority of the shares.
