The Rudaki Hall of Tehran hosts the fifth Iran-Austria concert. The two-hour program brought together musicians from many different genres for a joint performance. The concert was a joint performance by Farnad Orchestra, conducted by Arya Bastaninezhad, Ava String Orchestra, and the Farabi Grand Choir, led by Abdolreza Amirkhani.
Schools in the city of Tehran and the eastern part of Tehran Province will be closed for the next two days over rising levels of air pollution, Iranian authorities announced on Friday, following similar measures last week.
A brownish-gray haze from heavy smog draped Iran’s capital on Sunday, shuttering schools and universities in Tehran and some other cities once again, state media reported, amid news of further air pollution to linger over the city.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif voiced Tehran’s support for “an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process”, saying a withdrawal of foreign forces from the war-weary nation could pave the way for the peace and reconciliation process.
