Iran is currently exporting $350 million worth of machine-made carpets annually, Member of the Board of Directors of Iran Textile Specialists Association Alireza Ha’eri said, adding that it is half of the country’s total revenues from exporting textile products.
Iran exported 12,000 tons of carpet and handicrafts worth around $258 million over the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-December 21, 2018), according to the country’s foreign trade statistics.
