Tehran to host molecular technology symposium
The 4th International Symposium on Molecular Technology (Biotechnology in Progress), with focus on drug development and therapeutics, will be held at Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti Medical University from October 14-16.

Dr. Nader Maqsoudi, the head of Iranian Cell Death Association, said distinguished experts from Iran, the UK, France, Switzerland, the US, Belgium and Turkey will participate in the three-day event.

The specialist added that Iranian Cell Death Association will organize the event in collaboration with the International Cell Death Society and neuroscience and neurobiology research centers affiliated to Shahid Beheshti Medical University. 

The symposium will discuss the following subjects:

Targeted molecular therapy in neoplasia, viral disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

An exhibition on latest achievements in biotechnology, molecular technology, pharmacy and medicine will be held on the sidelines of the event.

Raymond B. Birge from New Jersey Medical School, USA, Jerry Edward Chipuk from Icahn Medical Institute, USA, Sa’di Khoshbin from French Institute of Health and Medical Research, France, J. Marie Hardwick from Johns Hopkins University, USA, Peter Vandenabeele from Ghent University, Belgium, Mahvash Tavassoli from King's College London, Britain, and Mossa Gardaneh from Molecular Genetics Group, National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Iran are among keynote speakers.
