Minister: Iran's culture, civilization have no border
Iran's Culture Minister Abbas Salehi urged US politicians to come to realize that Iranian culture, art and civilization have no border and cannot be isolated.

According to IRNA, Salehi further said in a message to the inaugural ceremony of the 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival, "We are living in an era in which a part of the world, with a neophyte history and government, is trying to show as isolated an ancient land with a long-standing civilization."

US politicians are trying to wreck ties between Iran and the world, he said, adding, "We hope that the 2018 edition of the festival will boost the link between Iran, the world and the cinematic audience."

They pay billions of dollars in bribes to cut off trade relations and they threaten and put pressure to damage our politico-economic ties, Salehi noted.

The 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival kicked off on November 9 and will continue until November 13.
