Bayazid Bastami’s tomb a tourist attraction in central Iran
The tomb of Bayazid Bastami in Bastam, central Iranian province of Semnan, is among the main attractions of the city. It is a large complex with different spaces from the third to fifth century A.H.

This tomb, which is a historical monument, is at present a tourist destination, ifpnews.com wrote.

Known as Sultan-ul-Arifin (meaning the king among those who have Knowledge of God in Persian), Bayazid Bastami is the greatest Iranian Sufi who lived in the third century A.H.

The complex includes a mosque, a tombstone, a dome, a minaret, a porch, a parlor and a patio featuring works from the Seljuk, Ilkhani, Timurid, Safavid and Qajar dynasties.

The tomb of the great Sufi does not have any decorations, and in fact his disregard for the materialistic aspects of life is quite obvious from his tomb.

On the tombstone of Bayazid are written parts from a famous sermon by first Shia Imam, Imam Ali (PBUH).

Bayazid monastery is located four meters west of his tomb. The monastery has two small rooms that are connected with each other.
